Nurses are ‘God’s special angels’

September 26, 2013

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the nurses from Room 50 at Lillie Bennett Nursing Center for their wonderful care and compassion.

My mother-in-law, Rosa Wright, was a patient there for five to six weeks and was in Room 50. All of the nurses there go above and beyond their duty to care for their patients.

On the day before my mother-in-law died, Sunday, Aug. 25, Cerisyl Hardison was the nurse in charge until 7 p.m. that evening. She did everything in her power, all day long, by calling the doctor and Hospice to get pain medicines changed to make sure that Rosa did not suffer. The nurses were in and out of her room all day and until she died at about 3:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26.

No one could have had better care than Rosa did her last day on earth. These nurses and the Hospice nurses are God’s special angels and I thank God they were there with Rosa and our family. Thank you all for a wonderful job and may God bless each of you.
