Authorities are investigating a large fire that burned at All Price Tires on Thanksgiving evening.

Wadesboro Fire Department spokesman Marc Sessions said that the investigation is ongoing but that the fire has been ruled to be suspicious. The Polkton and Lilesville fire departments assisted the WFD in fighting the fire. It is currently being investigated by the WFD and the Wadesboro Police Department.

The business owner, Ashley Heiman, said he was out of town for the holiday when he learned about the fire. “They found some gasoline bottles and you could smell the gasoline and all that, so we know that it’s an arson,” he said. To his knowledge, there is no one in custody. He plans to help the department with the investigation when he returns from his trip.

The tire business is located on U.S. 74 West and the incident took place on Thanksgiving evening. Anyone with information is requested to contact the Wadesboro Police Department at 704-694-2167.
