Anson County deputies are searching for two possible suspects in a fatal shooting on Monday.

The victim was 21-year-old Dameon Yimaine Thomas. At about 12:52 a.m., two intruders entered a residence and shot the Thomas multiple times, according to deputies. By the time law enforcement arrived on the scene at about 1 a.m., the suspects were gone.

A female believed to be Thomas' girlfriend was with Thomas when he was shot. She told deputies that she believes the shooters to be two black males, but that she did not know why they attacked him. “We're trying to gather information on two black male suspects about who they may be,” Major Charlie Little of the Sheriff's Department said.

Little and Sgt. Donald Jenks, also with the sheriff's department, said that the suspects did not injure the female and took nothing from the residence. “We're running some leads, but have no potential suspects at this point,” Little said.
