Thelma Williamson Burns celebrated her 95th birthday on May 7.
Burns is the widow of the late the Rev. Jethro Burns of the Burnsville Community.
Family members and close friends of Burns gathered May 7 to honor her and enjoy her 95th birthday celebration. The celebration included food, special music and fellowship, and took place at the Burnsville Recreation and Learning Center. Burns is the mother of three living children: Joyce Foster of Baltimore, Maryland, Jethro Burns Jr. of Jersey City, New Jersey and Georgette Burns of the Burnsville Community. They were all in attendance.
Others in attendance were Burns’ four sisters from Baltimore, along with friends and relatives from New Jersey, Mississippi, Alabama and North Carolina.
Burns’ family thanked everyone who was able to attend and those who wanted to be present but could not attend.
Georgette Burns is the daughter of Thelma Williamson Burns.
