Two Anson County sisters received their graduate degrees this spring.

Sarah Elizabeth Baucom, of Wadesboro, and Katherine “Katie” Baucom Reynolds, of Boone, received their degrees within two weeks of each other.

Baucom received her master’s of arts in counseling from Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina on April 29.

When she graduated from South Pointe Christian School in Pageland, South Carolina in 2010, she was the salutatorian of her class. She then attended Wingate University, where she graduated from with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2014.

She currently lives in Wadesboro with her parents and plans to marry Robbie Clanton on June 24. She will live in Lancaster, South Carolina where she plans to be a counselor, after a honeymoon cruise to Jamaica.

Reynolds received her master’s of science in speech-language pathology from Appalachian State University in Boone on May 12.

She was valedictorian of her class when she graduated from South Pointe Christian School in Pageland in 2011, then graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelor of science in communication sciences and disorders in 2015.

Reynolds plans to be a pediatric speech pathologist in the Boone area. She lives in Boone with her husband, Michael Reynolds, whom she married in August 2014.

The women are the daughters of Doug and Julie Baucom of Wadesboro.
