Sheriff’s deputies say a car chase led to a man’s arrest on multiple charges Saturday.

Jonathan Hinson, 24, was booked Saturday evening after the Anson County Sheriff’s Office charged with with fleeing and eluding arrest with a motor vehicle, according to jail records.

Wadesboro police also charged Hinson with driving without a license and displaying an expired inspection sticker, according to the records.

State records show that Hinson has no prior convictions in North Carolina.

As of press time on Monday evening, Hinson was being held in the Anson County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond. His court date was set for Dec. 7.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
