Peachland-Polkton Elementary School held a Toys for Tots drive throughout the month of November. The students brought in 564 toys to donate to this program. Toys for Tots is a program run by the United State Marine Corps Reserve, which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The program was founded in 1947 by reservist Maj. Bill Hendricks.
