The Clover Crawl to benefit Anson County 4-H will return just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, Anson County 4-H and 4-H Youth Promise have announced.

The event will be held from 6-11 p.m. Friday, March 11 at South Piedmont Community College’s Lockhart-Taylor Center in Wadesboro.

The Clover Crawl is an adult event for ages 21 and older featuring food, dancing and socializing. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served. 4-H alumnus Ryan Short of Ryan Short Entertainment will reprise his role as DJ.

Funds raised will be used to support ongoing 4-H youth programs in Anson County, organizers say, specifically those that address the well-being of youth, families and communities.

Advance tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased at the Anson County Cooperative Extension office, 501 McLaurin St., Wadesboro, Lacy’s, or from committee members and staff. Ticket price at the door will be $40.

Organizers said the dance competition is back by popular demand for 2016. Individuals and groups can take their talent to the dance floor to vie for the title of 2016 Clover Crawl dance competition winner. Registration will be available at the ticket table the night of the event.

4-H programs annually reach more than 1,051 young people in Anson County. Youth participate in activities and programs such as school enrichment, summer camps, after-school programs, community service and other year-round educational programs.

Anson 4-H and 4-H Youth Promise also work with adults, volunteer leaders and youth to provide community projects, parenting skills and enhanced leadership abilities. All 4-H programs are available to any youth between ages 5-19.
