January was a busy month for the Wadesboro Police Department as officers made several drug arrests.

Around 12:40 a.m. Jan. 4, officers conducted a traffic stop resulting in the arrest of a driver and two passengers. Charged were Crystal Juanita Dellinger, 29, of Monroe, Wallace Antonio Clyburn, 32, of Wingate, and Bridgette Nacole Mullis, 29, of Polkton.

Dellinger was charged with one felony count of altering/stealing/destroying criminal evidence, one felony count of possession of methamphetamine and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was placed in the Anson County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond.

Clyburn and Mullis were each charged with one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia and placed in the Anson County Jail under a $1000 secured bond.

BREAKING AND ENTERING

On Jan. 7, detectives of the Wadesboro Police Department were following up on a case of breaking and entering that led them to the Myrtlewood area when they observed a suspect in the case. Police said the suspect ran away and was apprehended.

Dewan Rayquan Hailey, 18, of Wadesboro, was arrested.

Hailey was charged with one felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon, one felony count of possession of a stolen firearm, one felony count of possession of stolen goods/property, one misdemeanor count of carrying a concealed gun and one misdemeanor count of resisting a public officer.

He was placed in the Anson County Jail under a $76,500 secured bond.

WALMART THEFT

On Jan. 16, loss prevention employees at Walmart told police that three people had stolen from the store and provided a description of the suspects’ vehicle.

Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop that led to the arrest of Glen Richard Teddler II, 27, of Fayetteville, Ashley Nicole Marable, 27, of Hope Mills and Charles Austin Alger Jr., 20, of Fayetteville.

Teddler, Marable and Alger were each charged with one felony count of possession of heroin, one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one misdemeanor count of larceny.

All three were placed in the Anson County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
