The Ansonia Theatre in Wadesboro will present the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” opening March 4. The tale chronicles six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show celebrates the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can fit in and stand out at the same time. The cast includes Emily Litaker Privette, Matthew Bailey, Jodi Davis, Gage Tarlton, Tommy Wooten, Connie Thomas, Gina Clarke, Steve Lear and Mike Railton.
