Wadesboro real estate agent Carroll Anderson was recently named as one of the 2016 10 best real estate professionals for client satisfaction.

The American Institute of Real Estate Professionals published its selection process along with the announcement.

“Professionals who are selected to the ‘10 Best’ list must pass AIOREP’s rigorous selection process, which is based on client and/or peer nominations, thorough research, and AIOREP’s independent evaluation,” the release said. “AIOREP’s annual list was created to be used as a resource for clients during the selection process. One of the most significant aspects of the selection process involves professionals’ relationships and reputation among his or her clients. As clients should be a professional’s top priority, AIOREP places the utmost emphasis on selecting professionals who have achieved significant success in the field of real estate without sacrificing the service and support they provide. Selection criteria therefore focus on professionals who demonstrate the highest standards of client satisfaction.”

Carroll opened the office with her husband, Lin, in 1995.

She was born and raised in Wadesboro and graduated from Wadesboro High School, according to her website. Carroll said that she attended Meredith College in Raleigh, where she studied interior design and architectural training, and that the knowledge of both has helped contribute to her career in real estate.

According to her website, she taught junior high school in California for 14 years before moving back to Anson County in 1980, beginning her career in real estate in 1986. She and Lin opened Anderson Real Estate in 1995. Carroll will have 31 years of real estate experience in February.

Now, the office has four employees: herself, Lin, their son, Dru, and a rental manager and assistant, who has been with the company for about 10 years.

Dru joined the business about nine months ago, Carroll said.

“He’s a former American Airlines pilot and chose to come back to the family business,” she said. “And he has a degree from N.C. State in forestry. That’s a background for land sales, also.”

Lin is also a former pilot.

“We work as a team; in other words, we’re not in competition with each other,” Carroll said. “All four of us offer service to anyone and everybody; 225 rental apartments and homes that we do rental management.”

The business deals with residential, commercial and farm land sales, with 117 listings as of Dec. 30. The office manages a number of rentals, as well. They currently manage 225 rental apartments and homes, and have listings and rentals they manage in Anson, Union, Richmond and Montgomery counties, with the bulk in Anson.

This is not the first time Carroll has been recognized for her work. She has received a number of recognitions and certifications, including the Platinum ClubTop Agent award and earning the Graduate REALTOR Institute designation, according to her website.
