Several roads throughout Anson and Union counties will be closed as CSX Railroad begins repairs on the crossings.
Traffic will be rerouted from the closed roads, and detours will be indicated with signs, according to a release from the traffic control division of Southern Commercial Development.
Road closings normally last one to three days, but closure times vary, the release said.
Both railroad crossings on Stanback Ferry Road — one near the Dogwood Place intersection and one near the Church Street intersection — were closed on April 10. North Washington Street closed on April 11 at the intersection with Depot Road.
Salisbury Court will close the same day near U.S. Highway 52. Kitty Bennet Road will close between U.S. Highway 74 and N.C. Route 742 on April 12.
Williams Street will close near the intersection with old U.S. Highway 74 on April 17. Horne Town Road will close at the Peachland-Polkton Road intersection, and Ross Wright Road will also be closed, the same day.
North Clinton Avenue will close between West Passiac and West Lawrence Streets on April 19.
Caudle Road will close near the intersection with U.S. Highway 74, and Pulpwood Yard Road will close near the intersection with old U.S. Highway 74, on April 20.
Closure dates may change due to weather conditions and other factors.
