WADESBORO — Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man on an Anson County rape charge Tuesday.
Damien Ratliff, 34, faces a charge of second-degree rape, according to jail booking records.
Ratliff served probation on August 2006 convictions of drug and paraphernalia possession and assaulting or threatening a government official, according to the N.C. Division of Adult Correction. He also has a 2002 misdemeanor marijuana conviction.
Second-degree rape is a Class C felony carrying a presumptive sentence of 4 years, 10 months to 6 years, 1 month in prison.
Ratliff was booked into the Anson County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
