It was a grand morning for Grits with Grandparents at Morven Elementary School last week.

The Morven Elementary School staff and Principal Dr. J. Allen opened its doors with smiling faces to greet the honorable grandparents. The school hallways filled like blowing bubbles as the beautiful grandparents acknowledged each other with laughs, handshakes and lots of hugs.

Sandra Harrell spoke on the importance of grandparents being involved in their grandchildren’s lives. Harrell’s words soared through the art room, touching many hearts of volunteers and eagerly waiting students to enjoy their special time with their grandparents.

Morven Elementary School students performed for the honorable grandparents. The performers were: LaKyra Forte, Taliyah Hixson, Ashton Mitchell, Anyah Willoughby, Aryah Willoughby and Siyanna Webster.
