The “Shop with a Cop” annual motorcycle ride was a huge success.

Wadesboro Police Chief Thedis L. Spencer and Sergeant Gerald Cannon want to thank everyone that participated. A special thank you for Wadesboro Town Council members Councilman Jeremy Burr, Councilman Fred Davis, Anson County Commissioner Vancine Sturdivant, Stephana Spencer of Anson High School, and Denise Cannon of Anson County Sheriff’s Office.

Wadesboro Police Department also would like to thank Smith Funeral Home, Keith Rosebud, Mr. & Mrs. Todd Moore, McCormick Fencing & Home Improvement (John McCormick), and Burnsville Recreation & Learning Center (Carol Smith) who made extra donations. Door Prizes were provided by Allen General Store, Lafagota’s Restaurant, Iron Horse Cycles of Monroe, Sports Cycles of Hamlet, Pizza Inn of Rockingham, Jalisco Mexican Restaurant, and Griffin Dodge of Rockingham. After the ride dinner were provided at the Wadesboro Town Park prepared by Sergeant Jeff McCormick, Berdie Ingram, and Texas Roadhouse of Aberdeen.

As Chief of Police of Wadesboro I observed a group of people from Anson County and surrounding counties come together and join hands as one with a special prayer from Pastor Michael Patrick with one thought in mind — the love of sharing the gift of our fellow man. Again thank you.
