Barn Blast 2014 set many records, including a profit of approximately $70,000. The most amazing result, however, is the number of people and businesses who support the efforts of the Anson County Partnership for Children. That number continues to grow each year as more and more people “help make Anson County a better place to be a child and to raise a child.”

In the coming weeks, the Partnership would like to express sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of Barn Blast 2014. This week the Partnership is offering its appreciation to those who pledged their support before the event as sponsors of Barn Blast 2014, including presenting sponsors: Poisson, Poisson and Bower, Attorneys at Law and Uwharrie Bank.

“We appreciate all the businesses and citizens who supported programs for young children and their families in Anson County by sponsoring the Barn Blast,” said Bonnie Morgan, literacy and outreach coordinator for the Partnership.

Anson County Partnership for Children is a non-profit public/private organization which was formed in 1996 in response to the North Carolina Smart Start initiative. The Partnership’s mission is “helping to make Anson County a better place to be a child and to raise a child.”

All profits from the Barn Blast will be used for Partnership programs which address the unique needs of children and families in Anson County, focusing on child care, health, literacy and family support. For more information, contact Bonnie Morgan at 704-694-4036, www.ansonchildren.org.
