The Bearcats had a rough week last week, with both the varsity baseball and soccer teams losing their games.

The varsity baseball team played a conference game at Cuthbertson last Friday, losing 3-1.

Neither team made any runs until the fourth inning, when they each made one run. They were tied 1-1 until the Cavaliers broke the tie by making two runs in the fifth inning.

The girls’ soccer team also played a conference game at Cuthbertson last Friday, losing their game 9-0. According to high school sports website MaxPreps.com, all nine points were made in the first half of the game.

The varsity baseball team will play at Weddington High School in Matthews on Wednesday at 7 p.m. (there will be no JV game). They will play at Anson High School against Weddington at on Friday at 7 p.m., and the JV team will also face them on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

The soccer team will play at Sun Valley High School in Monroe on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
