The Anson M-Pact semi-pro football team won against the Lake Norman Fear at Anson Middle School field on Saturday. The final score was Mpact 42, Fear 14.
Both teams did a tremendous job on and off the field. The M-Pact’s Jamison Burns had two catches for the game, one of which was an 80-yard touchdown for M-Pact. Patrick Clark had eight mesmerizing tackles, six sacks, and ran a 40-yard touchdown. Dre McManus snatched four catches, 178 yards to add with his two touchdowns. Myron Grade grabbed seven tackles and one sack. Ronald Sellers hit the turf with four tackles, one sack, fumble recovery and a two-point conversion with team Fear on his back. Orlando Ratliff breezed by with a rushing touchdown. Full back Orrin Tew scored with a 30-yard rushing touchdown.
The M-Pact would like to thank the fans for bringing the sunshine in their hearts to turn a rainy game sunny. M-Pact will travel to High Point to challenge the Ravens next Saturday. The team is in need of gas cards, energy drinks and any other sports donations.
