The Anson Bearcats JV football team lost 20-8 versus the Purnell Swett Rams on Thursday evening.
The Rams scored a touchdown and two-point conversion in the first quarter to the Bearcats’ 0 points. In the second quarter, the Rams scored another touchdown less than two minutes into the quarter, but failed their attempted two-point conversion, bringing the score to 14-0.
After halftime, the score stayed the same throughout the third quarter, but the Rams scored once again just over a minute into the final quarter but failed the two-point conversion, bringing the score to 20-0. With 2:34 left on the clock, Denarius Hilton (#42) scored a touchdown, and CJ Cason (#8) completed a two-point conversion, bringing the final score to 20-8, Purnell Swett.
The boys will next play away at Richmond on Sept. 26. Their next home game will be Oct. 24 versus Cuthbertson at 6:30 p.m.
