A total of about 50 kids of all ages turned out Sunday afternoon, April 1, for an Easter egg hunt at Ansonville’s town park.
This is the second year that the egg hunt has been held, said Jennifer Lee of Red Hill Baptist Church, who put on the hunt for the past two years. The church hopes to make it an annual event on each Palm Sunday, Lee said.
Before the egg hunting got under way, Phyllis Pope told the children an Easter story and handed out prizes to each of the children. All children present received either a doll or a CD of Easter music.
Hundreds of eggs were hidden so every child’s basket was overladen with plastic eggs filled with yummy treats.
