PEACHLAND — Jean Jarman Tyson, 56, died Nov. 14, 2012 at the Hospice House of Union County.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Peachland, with Rev. Paul McClure and Rev. Steve Jirgal officiating. Interment will follow at Anson Memorial Park in Wadesboro. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home.

Tyson was born June 26, 1956 in Anson County, the only child of Harold and Edna Dutton Jarman. She was a graduate of Southview Academy and Anson Community College. Early in her career, she worked for Security Bank & Trust while later, she and her husband, Ken, were partners in operating Jarman’s Food Mart in Wadesboro. For the last 20 years, she was an employee for the N.C. Dept. of Corrections in Polkton.

Jean is survived by her husband, Ken, of the home; her mother, Edna Jarman of Wadesboro; two sons, Micah Tyson (Paige) and Morgan Tyson (Maggie), both of Monroe; and four granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold in 2010.
