MT. CROGHAN, SC — Jeffrey Scott Spielman, 52, died Oct. 19, 2012 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elizabeth Baptist Church, Ruby, S.C., with Rev. Dewayne Evans officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at their home.

Interment will be at a later date, as his wishes were to be laid to rest with his mother in Ellington, Conn.

Spielman was born April 30, 1960 in Ellington, Conn., a son of Roy Donald Spielman and the late Margie Lands Spielman. He had worked in heavy equipment operating and owned and operated a golf ball recovery service.

Surviving are his wife, Shelley Howerton Spielman of the home; his daughters, Heather Spielman of Charlotte and Jena Spielman of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Dylan, Tristan, Adilynn and Cayden; his stepsons, Trenton Lambert and Austin Lambert both of Mt. Croghan; his father and stepmother, Roy and Pat Spielman of Ruby; and his brothers, Roy Spielman Jr. of Casper, Wyo., Jim Spielman of Ellington, Conn., and Ron Spielman of Venice, Fla.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Chesterfield County, P.O. Box 293, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
