The staff of Lanesboro Correctional Institution recently raised $500 for local needy families, and also donated two large boxes of toys to the Anson County Toys for Tots campaign. Prison administrator Lawrence Parsons said he plans for the staff to do more community fundraisers in the future, for Toys for Tots and other organizations.
