On Oct. 20, the Wadesboro Police Department hosted a motorcycle bike ride to benefit the “Shop with a Cop” program. Several riders came out to support the WPD and the event was deemed a great success by Interim Police Chief Thedis Spencer. “This was a beautiful day to ride,” he said.

After the ride, riders were treated with lunch at the Wadesboro Park, which consisted of hot dogs with the trimmings.

“As interim chief, I want to thank the riders, Officer Leviner, Sgt. Cannon, Sgt. Ray’s shift, Anson County Sheriff’s Office, Pageland Police Department, Alltel, and especially Stephana Spencer, Denise Cannon and Bertie Ingram, who helped with the lunch that was provided,” Interim Chief Spencer said. “Please continue with your donations to help make ‘Shop with a Cop’ a success.”
