The Wadesboro Police Department will be hosting a motorcycle ride on Saturday. All riders are to meet in the Wadesboro PD parking lot. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and the ride will start around 11 a.m. Lunch will be provided.

Registration fee is $20 per bike, with all proceeds going toward the police department’s Shop With a Cop program.

The Shop With a Cop program is designed for children. Each child participating in the program will get the chance to ride in a police patrol vehicle, enjoy a meal, go to Walmart and pick out items that will make them happy this holiday season. The children will go with an assigned member of the Wadesboro Police Department. The dollar amount of items the children receive will depend on the amount of donations to the program.

Also during Saturday’s motorcycle ride, there will be a 50/50 drawing for participating bikers.
