The fifth annual Battle of the Bands, scheduled for Saturday, April 21, at South Piedmont Community College’s L.L. Polk Campus, has been postponed because of the threat of nasty weather.
The event will be rescheduled for sometime in June, at a time that does not conflict with major events.
SPCC student activities director Mike Maffucci said the weather forecast shows an increasing chance of rain and thunderstorms as Saturday evening progresses. The event was scheduled from 5-10 p.m.
A new date should be announced within the next week or so. The Battle of the Bands is sponsored by SPCC’s Student Government Association.
