Each year, Wadesboro Rotary club has the opportunity to award one of its club members the distinguished Rotarian award.
The recipient of 2012, Distinguished Rotarian Award was Todd Moore.
At any event held by the chamber, whether a fundraiser, program or brand new idea, there was always one person whose services stood out. Moore is a big supporter of the Big Game Hunt, Chamber Golf Tournaments and ribbon cuttings for new businesses.
Like the Chamber, his Rotary Club is a very important part of his life. He has served on several committees and on his club’s Rotary Board of Directors. He works hard for his club and helps to share their stories of good things happening in their community.
Moore is a graduate of the N.C. Leadership Forum and the Anson County Sheriff Department Citizen’s Academy. He serves on Anson Bank and Trust Board of Directors. He has been a leading supporter of getting voluntary AG districts in Anson County.
He recently received his 15 year pin from Pee Dee Electric where, even at work, he displays his Rotarian principles. He is married to his wife of 16 years, Vanessa, and has four sons, three grandchildren and Decker, their special four-legged companion.
The district, along with the Wadesboro club, first awarded this honor during the 1993-94 Rotary years to exemplify “Service above Self” in their daily life as a Rotarian and as a member of the community.
