Anson High School’s JV football team won a home game against South Stanly with a score of 24-0 on Thursday evening.

Although the Bearcats earned many penalties throughout the game, Coach Ralph Jackson said they did well. “They played as a team,” he said. “Even through the penalties, they played as a team.”

Jackson said the team will work on their focus and avoiding mistakes.

The coach was proud of his team’s effort. “The guys played hard,” he said. “We’ll take any win we can get.”

The Bearcats had several penalties, but Coach Ralph Jackson said they still “played as a team” through it.
