Three people were arrested by Anson County Sheriff’s Deputies on drug charges on Aug. 14, and one of them allegedly assaulted an officer during the arrest.

Deputies arrested 30-year-old Shasta Lacole Stack, of Chesterfield, South Carolina, and Polkton men John Marvin Holman, 37, and Johnny Austin Dellinger III, 41.

Holman allegedly tried to hit Sgt. Donald Jenks with a closed fist when Jenks was making the arrest, according to the warrant. Jenks is a sergeant with the Anson County Sheriff’s Office.

Holman was charged with possessing and distributing meth precursors, manufacturing methamphetamine, possessing drug paraphernalia, resisting a public officer, and assaulting a government official.

The arrest warrant lists scales and baggies as the drug paraphernalia, and states that “lithium batteries, two pounds of crystal Drano, measuring cups and coffee filters” were the meth lab precursors.

Stack was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing meth and possessing meth lab precursors that included the same items listed on Holman’s warrant.

Dellinger was charged with possessing and/or distributing meth precursors, possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession methamphetamine, and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance.

His arrest warrant lists the same alleged meth lab precursors as the others, and alleges that Dellinger kept a singlewide mobile home and used it, a shed in the backyard, and the backyard itself to keep, sell, and make meth.

Dellinger was also served an arrest warrant on Aug. 12 that charges him with a felony hit and run causing serious injury, driving while license was revoked, and making an unsafe lane change, according to his inmate listing on the website for the Anson County Jail.

Dellinger is on active probation for possession stolen goods in Mecklenburg County, according to his listing with the North Carolina Department of Corrections. He has two prior convictions of larceny in 1992 and 1997.

Holman is also on probation for violating a protective order, according to DOC records. He has prior drug and traffic convictions in Anson County dating back to 2006.

Records show no prior convictions for Stack in North Carolina.

Holman’s bond was set at $550,000, Stack’s at $100,000, and Dellinger’s at a combined $505,000. All three are due to appear in the Anson County Court on Tuesday.
