Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Rocky Mount AME Zion Church, Ansonville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Allen was born Dec. 22, 1946 in Anson County, a daughter of the late Albert and Clara Smith Tyson. She was a 1966 graduate of West Ansonville High School and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Allen, and by her brothers and sisters, Raymond and James Tyson, Blanche McRae and Laura Richardson.
Surviving are her son, Willie Tyson of the home; her grandson, Fabion Tyson of Wadesboro; her sister, Frances (Perry) Ingram and her brother, Charles (Jennie) Tyson, both of Ansonville; her aunt, Annie Mae Thomas of Winston-Salem; her sisters-in-law, Maebell Tyson and Elnora Holt, both of Ansonville; her brothers-in-law, Carl Allen of Ansonville and Marshall Allen of Albemarle; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
