Willie Bennett died on Sept. 25, 2012 at his home.
A son of Reecie and the late Willie Bennett, he was born March 31, 1952 in Bronx, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Bennett, and one sister, Tina Marie Bennett Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife, Betty Garrison Bennett; his mother, Reecie Bennett; stepsons, David Bailey and James Bailey of Mineral Springs, Nathaniel Bailey and Ulysses Bailey of Monroe; stepdaughters, Margaret Vinson (Kenneth) of Lancaster, S.C., Sedonia Bailey of Mineral Springs; brothers, Larry Bennett (the Rev. Joann) and Benjamin Bennett of Wadesboro, Marshall Bennett of Charlotte; sisters, Pandora Lindsey of Morven, Cecelia Covington of Pinehurst, Jacqueline Bennett of Wadesboro; two aunts, Alberta Ratliff of Lilesville and Virginia Huntley of High Point; 36 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
