Consumers should check the box before eating Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size cereals to avoid the possibility of ingesting metal fragments, according to the FDA.
A faulty manufacturing part created the possibility of flexible metal mesh fragments in certain boxes of Kellogg’s Mini-Wheat products, according to the FDA.
Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size cereals with the letters KB, AP or FK before or after the ‘Best if Used Before’ date on the box — ranging from single-serve bowls to 70-ounce cartons — are included in the recall. The possible affected boxes include those with ‘Use By’ dates from April 1, 2013- Sept. 21, 2013.
In response to the possible metal fragments, a voluntary recall has been issued. Check your purchases for:
