Audrey Tarleton Taylor, 88 of Norwood passed away Nov. 3, 2012 at Woodhaven of Albemarle.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Shawn Grosvner and Rev. Carroll Moffitt will officiate and burial will follow in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Anson County. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home.

Taylor was born Nov. 9, 1923 in Anson County to the late Bundy Bascom and Lizzie Kate Griffin Tarleton. She was a retiree of Cassie Cotillion and a member of Norwood Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Boyce Taylor and sons, William Taylor and Raile Gray Taylor. She is survived by her son, Lewis Taylor of Norwood, and daughter, Dean Lee and husband Ralph of Norwood; daughter-in-law, Brenda Wagoner Taylor of Rockwell; brother, Frank Tarleton of Rincan, Ga.; sisters, Doris Nesbitt of Kannapolis and Verna Lee Davis of Tampa, Fla., four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
