PEACHLAND — Alma S. Bowers, 95, died Nov. 27, 2012 at Autumn Care of Marshville.

She was the daughter of the late James C. and Bessie Thomas Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emsley Bowers, her children, Sybil B. Garris, Lewis Bowers and John David Bowers, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 29 at Gospel Tabernacle in Peachland. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Interment followed in the Peachland City Cemetery.

Bowers is survived by her two daughters, Jane B. Godwin and her husband, Lynn, of Peachland, and Ann B. Craddock and her husband, Vernon, of Rockingham; one brother, Curtis Smith, of Peachland; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Rev. Ranny Garris; and her daughter-in-law, Joyce Bowers.

The family requested that memorials be made to: Gospel Tabernacle in Peachland.
