WADESBORO — Corrie Atkinson Odom, 87, died Dec.11, 2012 at Lillie Bennett Nursing Center in Wadesboro.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Clodfelter officiating. Interment will be private in Anson Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of her son.

Odom was born April 6, 1925 in Chesterfield County, S.C., a daughter of the late Lonnie and Eva Howell Atkinson. She was retired from having worked for 50 years in textiles, which was with Reeves and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Wadesboro.

In 1954, she married Willie “Buck” Odom and he preceded her in death in 2004.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Willie P. “Buck” and Kathy Odom of Wadesboro; her grandson, Preston Scott Odom of Wadesboro; and her brother, Harold Atkinson of Charlotte.
