Sammie Williams’ kindergarten class at Lilesville Elementary School completed a guidance project in recognition of Black History Month, which is celebrated throughout the month of February. The students received a lesson on being proud of who you are and respecting cultural differences. They created African Dance Masks, which were proudly displayed in a parade around the classroom. The guidance activity was led by Frances McClendon, the school guidance counselor.
