Lowery Construction workers Jason Steele (on ground), Donald Fraguson and Donnie Lowery Jr. (on roof) prepare to nail down a plywood board to make up the new awning on the county's office building at the corner of Greene and Wade streets in downtown Wadesboro.
A crew from Lowery Construction began work on repairing the awning to Anson County's new administrative office building this week.
The fabric awning, which had become ripped, will be replaced by a solid awning made of stainless steel. The new awning, when finished, will be a medium bronze color, said Lowery Construction owner Lonnie Lowery.
Work was expected to continue through the week.
