The railing on the front steps of Long Pine Baptist Church in Peachland appear to be the only structural element that survived an early morning fire May 13.
A passing motorist called 911 at approximately 5:30 a.m.
Fire department officials arrived roughly 20 minutes later, but there was little to save, Detective Steve Erdmanczyk with the Anson County Sheriff's Office said.
The cause of the fire is still unkown, he said.
