Margaret Eddins Robeson, 70, of Ocala, Fla., and formerly of Wadesboro, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, at Duke University Hospital.

Margaret was born May 5, 1939, in Anson County, a daughter of the late Martin Prentice Eddins and the late Katie Hodge Eddins Gelsomini. She was retired from Delta Airlines.

Surviving are her children, Lesa Caryl of Tampa Bay, Fla., Phil Robeson and wife Shannon of Jacksonville, Fla., and Melanie Ray of Valrico, Fla.; her grandchildren, Jason Griffin, Justin and Nick Ray and Amber Parker and husband, Jonathan and Krystal Robeson; her great-grandchildren, Austin and Joshua; and her brother and sisters, Ralph Eddins of San Diego, Calif., Pat Braswell and husband, Sidney of Norwood, Suzanne Dyer of Tieton, Wash., and Debbie Nash and husband, Danny of Wadesboro.

Also surviving are her aunts and uncle, Virginia Brock of Polkton, Nannie Lee Horne and Harold Eddins both of Charlotte, Lucille Skipper of Longview, Texas, and Mickey Margulies of Henderson, Tenn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip and her son-in-law, Bill Ray.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. David Phillips officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.

A private entombment will be in Eastside Cemetery in Rockingham.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a college fund for her beloved great-grandchildren, Austin and Joshua, c/o Pat Braswell, 371 Island Cove Road, Norwood, NC 28128 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
