Deborah Jean Tillman, 51, died Dec. 3, 2008.

Funeral services were held Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. at Gatewood Station A.M.E. Zion Church in Morven with the Rev. David T. Richardson officiating.

Interment followed the ceremony at the church cemetery.

She was born Feb. 19, 1957 to Armender S. Tillman and the late Lee H. Tillman.

She graduated from Bowman Senior High in 1975. She then attended Anson Technical College, and gained a degree in nursing in 1977.

She worked at Anson Community Hospital for 23 years.

She was a member of Gatewood Station A.M.E. Zion Church.

She was very caring.

She is survived by two children, Randal D. Tillman and Victoria J. Tillman; her mother, Armender Tillman; two sisters, Shirley Tillman and Angela Tillman; seven brothers, Lee, Kenneth (Kathy), Larry (Syvette), Stevie, Gregory, Wayne (Toni), and Michael Tillman; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The arrangements are in the care of Smith's Funeral Directors.
