Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Oakdale Baptist Church with Rev. Arnold Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Griffin Cemetery.
The family will greet friends Friday, Aug. 27, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro and other times at the home.
Denise was born Dec. 18, 1953 in Mecklenburg County, a daughter of the late Troy Edward and Irene Spencer Harrison. She had worked as a mail carrier with both Polkton and Peachland Post Offices and was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Chuck Spencer of the home; her children, Troy B. Spencer of Charlotte, Michael L. Spencer of Matthews, Crystal McIntyre of Ruby, S.C., Shelia M. Spencer of Wadesboro, Tracy L. Spencer of Morven and Charlotte King of Cheraw, S.C.; six grandchildren; and two nephews.
