Community partnership of Ebenezer Presbyterian, Pleasant Hill Baptist, and Elizabeth Baptist churches will host Vacation Bible School at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. The theme is “Jesus Makes a Way, Everyday,” and VBS will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. nightly. All are invited.

Divine Unity House of Restoration Ministries will sponsor its annual Vacation Bible School, beginning at 6 p.m. nightly. All are invited. Friday, all VBS attendees will take a trip to the movies. The Theme for VBS is “So Amazing.”

Cedar Creek Gospel Choir will host its 55th Choir Anniversary at 3 p.m.

Harris Chapel A.M.E. Zion annual homecoming will be observed at 11 a.m. with a worship service. The celebration will resume at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Johnnie F. McLendon and the Fisher Hill Baptist Church family.

Harris Chapel A.M.E. Zion will have its annual revival at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The guest speakers will be the Rev. Johnnie F. McLendon, the Rev. Donnie Bennett, and the Rev. Luther McLendon Sr. Everyone is invited to attend.

Johnson Chapel Holiness Church will host Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8 p.m. nightly. All are invited.

Greater St. Mark Church of Deliverance Missionary’s annual workshop will be held at noon, with a casual attire setting. The speakers will be GSM church members and appointees, presenting the Fruits of the Spirit. All are invited to attend, and prayers, support and participation are needed.

Johnson Chapel Holiness Church will host its annual Men’s Day program at 3 p.m. The speaker will be Elder Pearl Taylor. All are invited.

Henry Grove Church will host its homecoming and revival. Homecoming services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m., and the guest speaker will be the Rev. Henry McNeil from Winston-Salem. Services for the remainder of revival will begin at 7:30 p.m. nightly, and the guest speaker will be the Rev. Tony Barr Sr. from Redisville. Everyone is welcome.

July 15-19

Divine Unity House of Restoration Ministries will celebrate homecoming and revival. The guest speaker for the homecoming service on Sunday is Pastor Waymon S. Jordan of Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Waxhaw. Service begins at 3 p.m. Revival services for Monday through Thursday will be held 7:30 p.m. nightly. Guest Speaker is the Rev. Anson community prayer is every first Monday of the month at 5:15 p.m. in Lilesville’s Hatcher Park, in Wadesboro on the square, in Polkton on the square, in Ansonville on the square and in Morven at the park in front of Town Hall.

The Anson Singers, a community choir with members from Anson and surrounding counties, will resume rehearsals at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, at First United Methodist Church, 118 E. Morgan St, Wadesboro. Directed by Emily Privette, the singers will meet 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays to prepare for their annual Christmas concert. The Anson Singers is a nonprofit, self-supporting group maintained solely through donations. Everyone is invited to join.

Calvary Episcopal Church will offer a group meeting of artists and crafters from 1-4 p.m. each Thursday.

Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 612 Salisbury St., Wadesboro, offers a soup kitchen noon to 1 p.m. on the first, second and third Thursday of every month.
