LILESVILLE — The grandson of two Lilesville residents graduated from the University of East Carolina Dental School on May 7.
Malik Johnson, grandson of Levander and Betty Bennett, first started his college career with a full academic scholarship to Morehouse College in Atlanta. After completed his undergrad, Johnson started dental school at University of East Carolina.
He graduated from the Greenville university with a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. Johnson’s next steps will be taken at Louisiana State University where he will start a his residency in general dentistry.
“We are so proud of your dedication and hard work,” Trina Mariner, Johnson’s mother, said. “Huge congratulations to a journey well deserved! Keep leading the way for other young men and women.”
