WADESBORO — Test your luck and win big while supporting Anson’s local businesses.
The Anson County Animal Shelter, located in Polkton, is selling raffle tickets as a fundraiser benefiting the animals. Winners will be drawn on May 28.
Enter for your chance to win a 40” Masterbuilt Electric Smoker with Bluetooth and cover, a Big Horn 47” Camp Black Round Steel Fire Pit, a Yeti 24 Roadie, Big Meat’s Gift Certificate and more! These items are valued over $1,000.

Anson’s Hampton B. Allen Library is also hosting a drawing for participants to win some locally grown items in the county for the Anson County Visit NC Farms Scavenger Hunt.
All you have to do is download the free Visit NC Farms app on your phone and answer some questions on the library’s Google Doc to be entered into the drawing. The questions on the form can be found while exploring the app.
One winner will be selected and announced on library’s Facebook Live on June 2.
The Visit NC Farms app was development by the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as a way to help connect N.C. residents and visitors to farmers and local food. Users can use the app to find the farms closest to them with products and activities.
Since the app’s launch in Orange County in 2017, 37 N.C. counties are using the app. There are nearly 10,000 active app users, according to the Visit NC Farms website.
