WADESBORO — The Wadesboro Police Department last week charged a man who was allegedly in the process of attempting to steal parts from a vehicle.

On March 27, 2022, WPD officers responded to a call for service in the area of Highway 742 South in reference to a suspicious subject walking around a residence.

Officers arrived on the scene and located Flint Daniel Ratliff of Cheraw. After an investigation by officers, it was found that Ratliff was attempting to cut the catalytic converter off of a vehicle on the property, according to police.

Ratliff was arrested on the scene, charged with Attempted Felony Larceny.

Ratliff’s bond was set at $1,000 secured and he was placed in the custody of the Anson County Jail. His court date is set for April 5, 2022.
