POLKTON — On March 30, the Polkton Police Department conducted a saturation patrol in Polkton with assistance from the Anson County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina Highway Patrol, Norwood Police Department, Monroe Police Department and the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office.
During the saturation, numerous citations were written for various reasons.
They wrote a total of 74 citations for speeding, driving while license revoked, no operator’s license, no insurance, careless and reckless driving, carrying concealed weapons, child restraint, simple possession of marijuana, and other motor vehicle violations.
They clocked the highest speed at 95 mph and seized five guns off the street.
