BARBECUE CANCELLED
The Wadesboro Rotary Club announced that the annual November barbecue fundraiser on Election Day, Nov. 8 will not take place this year due to unexpected facility conditions beyond the control of the Wadesboro National Guard Armory.
In past years, funds raised at the fundraiser have been returned back to Anson County to support various events.
In lieu of the BBQ fundraiser, the Rotary Club plans to host a spring fundraiser in January or February.
PARADE CANCELLED
The Anson County Veteran’s Day parade and other events have been cancelled, except for the 11 a.m. ceremony at the Anson County Courthouse. There will be no other festivities following the ceremony.
