A Wadesboro man was charged late last month in a breaking and entering from early December, but police are seeking public assistance in identifying other potential cases.

Detimothy Rashaun Smith, 23, was arrested on Dec. 21, 2016 on charges tied to a breaking and entering on Stuart Drive on Dec. 8.

“Smith is currently being investigated in connection with other breaking and entering cases,” police advised in a release.

Smith was charged with breaking and entering and attempted larceny after breaking and entering. He was booked in the Anson County charge under a $20,000 secured bond and has a court date scheduled for Jan. 31.

Records with the N.C. Department of Public Safety Division of Adult Correction show Smith was convicted of felony breaking and entering and attempted felony breaking and entering in 2015 for cases from 2014, serving 3 months behind bars.

Police asked that anyone with information on this or other cases of breaking and entering contact the Wadesboro Police Department at 704-694-2167 and ask to speak to a detective.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
