WADESBORO — The Caraway Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 Anson Youth Leaders Academy.
Your child must be in the 7th and 8th grade during this upcoming school year and at least 12 years old to apply for the academy.
Anson Youth Leaders Academy (AYLA) focuses on building personal leadership skills, philanthropic responsibility and character traits indicative of community leaders by exposing students to various cultures, civic engagements, volunteerism and conflict resolution situations.
Students selected for the interview stage of the application will be notified in May. The interview will include a panel of former AYLA members, a community leader and a parent. Students will be notified if they are part of the 2021-2022 AYLA program on June 14.
AYLA orientation will be held on August 12 and the program will run from August through May of 2022.
