The Morven chapter of Las Amigas Inc. sponsored its annual essay contest in observance of Black History Month in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King at Morven Elementary School. This year’s theme was “Martin Luther King’s Dream a Foundation for Change. The essay prompt was “Do you think the foundation is still solid?” Why or why not?” Winners were announced on March 7 and received cash prizes.
